What you really need in America is a married black lesbian with a physical disability and two kids with her multiracial partner. Until then you guys are screwed!

As much as many people would like for there to be a president that's female and/or black until prejudices towards both these "categories"(for lack of a better word) cease and people identify and value others for what they truly are worth can there be a change in this direction. I believe ultimately there will probably be a black president before a woman of any race due to the prejudices of males towards females in every ethnic group.

I don't think this is a mean question. I think a female president first is more likely due to demographics -- females in the U.S. close to 60% -- as well as cultural perception. I hate to say this, but skin color is still a limiting factor for many people, particularly people of voting age who either grew up in the days of segregation, civil rights, and/or affirmative action for are having their opinions influenced by those who did.
Voters will generally stick with candidates they perceive as middle of the road rather than radical to either end of the spectrum, and our modern political machine makes if difficult for a black (or candidate of any non-white ethnicity) to be considered a serious contender for President. Of course, a black female President would upset this apple cart entirely.

A black man.
Reasoning: Simple...how long did it take women to gain suffrage? And compare that to the history of black suffrage?
At the end of the day a black man, is still a man, and a woman is always a woman. Our country (as liberal as some think it is) is pretty damn conservative...mark miy words, there will be a male president before a female president.

Probably a female, the way things are looking for 2008 with Hillary Clinton, who appears to be a front runner. If Condi Rice decides to run, which she says she won't, then we'd have the first female and first black president.

I think a black female president would be totally cool but my money would be on a female president.
Do you think PMS could potentially be a problem?
I would vote for Hillary. She would be a vast improvement over the present administration.

Realize that the first black president, will not be one who strongly supports black causes, and the first woman president, will not be one who is a big women's rights proponent.
It just doesn't work that way.
Most of america is ready for either. At least in the world I live in.

Probably a white female.
For one thing, there are more high profile white female politicians Hillary or Kay Bailey Hutchinson, for intstance.
Someone like Congressman Watts could have run, in time, but he was too disgusted with politics , itself.
