In the state where dreams come true; I have not been able to locate a Music School specializing in African American Music and Gospel. Do you Know?

The California State University, Fresno - College of Social Sciences has an Africana and American Indian Studies Program.

There is a Fresno State Gospel Choir, open to community members. I suggest you join the group and as you start fitting in, you may start to shine forth with your vocal abilities. You may be able to do a solo and through the choir director, you can foster connections to possible launch your carreer. It sounds like there may be some courses you can take for more immersion into the gospel community there in Fresno.

Do you sing with a choir at church? Many gospel and spiritual singers started in a church choir.
