Actually it is quite safe at any age.
It really depends on the maturity level of the 11 year old and exactly what they want to do. People are genuinely good until proven otherwise. That is one thing we forget to remember.
I know, in these days and times and all.. but let's face it... when you hold the youngster back, he will become miserable and despondent and then that will eventually turn to rebellion and hate and anger later on.. That is what happens when we try to control our own freedom of choices. Yes, there should be someone there when they have questions... that is only normal..
If them a chance, since nobody else will.

It's hard to tell if the people you're talking to is a kid at the age of 12 or a old geezer of 78. So if you have a kid that's talking to strange you should monitor their chat and if anything strange acts up block them but if they sound like a regular kid then let them socialize. If you squeeze a bar of soap to hard it'll slip right out of your hands. So let them have a bit of a freedom but also keep them safe.
Oh and make sure they don't agree to met them anywhere.

Tell ya eleven year old that it safe on the computer that she shouldn t give out personal information about herself that they can get hold off and don t meet people that she don t know outside or somewhwere. she or he could be rape or kill it s not a wise idea? One more thing you should monitor who she talking do? Most important thing an 11 year old never should give out her password and screen name to nobody.

Absolutely not for an 11 year old. Maybe for older kids or adults who are capable of making wise decisions on who to talk to and not going any further than that.

i think you should be very careful if your 11 years old you have no idea what type of person you are talking to they could turn out to be a total mainac. theres nothing wrong with talking to people over the internet just dont go meeting up with them and dont give out any personal details about youeself

Well there is never anything wrong with talking or anything like that. As long as your not setting up meetings with ppl on here on any other places on the net.
