Why are they called rice-rockets? Most are made here in the states,.. And though they make a lotta noise, I would hardly consider them as rockets (more like granny in a wheelchair - shoved down a steep hill).
Its more attitude and resentment, these kids can't afford a real muscle car, so they try to trick out a toy car - which in their imagination is a hot piece of fun.
Its funny, when ever I see one of these cocky wannabes rev & peel before the light changes, its all show and no GO,... Especially when a stock full size (car/truck) smokes them without even trying. They don't do their act when they pull up to a real classic muscle car - I wonder why, coz their are out classed by cubic inches and simple horse power?
I'm only concerned that those cars are basically originally economy cars, which were not meant to be raced, in other words, when they do loose control and wreck - almost all of the time, everyone on board are severely injured or dead.
I guess stupid is as stupid does.

I find them totally tacky. The most absurd thing about the whole 'supin' up those cars too is when they put spoilers on them. Don't they realize those are mostly front wheel drive cars??!!! Spoilers are designed to push down on the back of a car keeping the wheels that drive the car more firmly pressed to the road and putting them on a front wheel drive car has the reverse effect on traction since its shifting pressure to the back, away from the powering front wheels. I just don't get them.

change happens, these rice burners are the younger generation showing thier stuff. some are nice and fast

Oh!! OH!!! MEEE!!! I do! They suck and the look like crap and they sound like it too!! They look like an austistic 5 yr old put it together. Its really sad.. oh and when will people learn that 'rims' belong on cars like BMW, Mercedies, Caddy, Lexus? NOT Honda, toyos, or kias and crapboxes like that?

Me. If they actually tuned the car, I could live with it. But a bright yellow air-intake and a fart can doesn't count.
