From what I read an know... A lily is un lys... that would be France....
The Edelwiess, is a flower that grows only in high peeks of mountains... an is very rare... I am learning here that it is considered as a lilly, but yes, it does look like one flat lilly, and always white apparently...
You also have water-lillys which, if I remember right, are a Japanese garden must... Symbol? not certain...
But definately, when one sees only a lilly symbol, that would be a France symbol....

Are you talking about Fleur-de Lis? Then that would be France,but the Fleur -de-Lis began as a symbol in Germany. Austria has a white lily called Adelweiss.
