I started in May. My friend and I take a yearly trip to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg around Mother's Day and we hit all the outlet malls down there.

No,I used to start right after Christmas for the next one but I ended up being so excited about the great gift I found I'd end up making an excuse to give it early so everyone had all their gifts by March and Christmas was a letdown. Now I start on Christmas eve because I know my weaknesses.

I buy all year long - whenever I see something that strikes me for "so-n-so", I put it in a box with their name on it. That way, I can take advantage of 80%+++ discounts (buy off season - coats in the summer for example) and still get items that will be wanted / needed.
