Yep,John is trying to get Eve to spill something about to evidence. Steve confirmed her involvement by finding her bank info showing that she made a huge deposit the day after the trial.
He and Marlena are living apart right now,but not actually split up. She made it clear to him that she still loves him,but needs time to heal on her own and not be so dependant on him.
The situation will probably get more complicated when Eve is murdered and John finds her body.
Another whodunnit. Maybe Kate,or maybe the glove????

He's trying to find out who she really is and what she's up to and if she have anything to do with the missing file because her profile was too clean and suspicious. so he's undercover to get information from her. and the only way to get it without her finding out what he's doing. No Marlena don't know about it. I would n't want her to know either. they're are apart for now.

He is trying to find out if she is the one who helped Kate.
He suspects but doesn't know for sure.
What I want to know is WHY THE HECK Sammy answered that phone?!

Well she does know now because Kate asked him about dating her in front of Marlena at Sammy's wedding. He said he can explain and Marlena said later.

yes he is undercover. he and patch/steve are both trying to help bo clear his name so hope will take him back. marlena and john are separated but he hasn't told her what is going on.
