Women syncronise within a household regardless of their sexual preferences - it happened to myself and flatmate.

It is very true!. It is a well known fact that the Spice Girls when touring and living in and out of ea others pockets did have synchronised periods. In tribes like in Africa where women are very close to ea other this happens. Its the same sort of thing when your partner has "sympathy" pains if you are going through childbirth

It's a scientific fact that it is female pheromones that synchronise or regularise cycles and this is why large groups of women tend to end up with the same cycle when they live in close quarters. This is regardless of their sexual orientation.

most women living together will synchronise, its not just lesbians. It is so women living in groups would reporduce at the same time so then they could look after offspring colectively, eg all breastfeed each others children, to maximise sucessful reproduction

Women who live together or who are really close do sync up their periods. Its the pheromones produced, we pick up and them and if you are around them month after month, you sync up. Its not just lesbians, it could be roomates. My best friend moved in with me 6 months ago, and we have had periods at the same time for 4 months.

Lisa you are f*#kn Funny... That was hilarious... What is wrong with that guy.. I guess he doesn't know "what you cast will fall upon the"...........

Yes it is true for the most part, Women in general just set each other off. It will not be the same for every month though... It depends on every ones cycle... Its my lady, our teenager, and myself.. its a constant battle... Now my teenager and I are on the same cycle.. Then it will be my lady and her.. vise a versa. We all constantly set each other off. PMS is a fun time at my house... But now we all just laugh at each other...

I do not know. This chick in my office always states that there are too many women working in our office that screw up her cycle. My partner and I have really not noticed any changes. Maybe I should pay closer attention>>>

Actually it has nothing to do with being a hetero or homo sexual. there are studies that suggest that women who live in close quarters or who spend a lot of time together develop menstrual synchrony, which means they tend to menstruate around the same time of the month

It as to do with has to do with substances called pheromones.

I can only answer from my own personal experience...

NO, my partner and I have been together for over nine years and our periods have NEVER been in synch with each other.

Mine was never in synch with my mother's growing up either.
