we are in Lebanon. that means in Arabic the tooth of the elephant
no elephants down here.it's simply the illeterate version of a church which used to be there,Saint Theophile

Well in nyc we have tons of crazy real street names. Here are three:

-Gay Street (this is in the west village, its a real street sign)
-People with Aids Plaza (this one and the next one are in wall st area)
-Avenue of the Strong

Many odd names near where I live. Dedeaux Road. Peapatch Lane. Creosote road. Rotton Bayou Road. D'Iberville Road.

New Orleans has lots of these. My favorite, right near my place, is Tchoupitoulas Street, pronounced like "CHOP-uh-TOO-lah".

i dont know if its odd but in my home town every street is numbered there no street names its real easy to get around but, I always tought it was odd.
