I want be be a religious or philosophical leader of some sort.

I don't know if I have the ability to do it, but, I'd like to think that I help people out, and change others inadvertantly for the better.

I have been told -- and have seen -- that my words and actions have moved people to tears before.

... I don't know. If you've seen my questions and answers before, do you think I have what it takes?

By the way, I didn't put this in R&S because I didn't want to get assaulted with the entire "JESUS IS SAVIOR" thing...

In my tradition and in my general pagan community, religious leaders are given their respective titles by the role that they fulfill and the kind of service that they give to their groups and the community. Leaders are admired and respected for what they do for the community. They visit hospitals, do prison ministry, give free classes and workshops, and they perform handfastings, wiccanings, and funeral rites. They do the behind-the-scenes work of finding places for events, coordinating schedules for events, and they donate their time for educational events and things like PPD. They freely give spiritual and marital counseling (and have taken the classes needed to do these things). Some volunteer their time to a local suicide hotline, United Way, The Red Cross, or they help other local religious charities. They are highly respected and appreciated. They encourage us by their example to become more involved and to give to the community. In my tradition, some have spent the time and hard work to get academic degrees in the study of the cultures that once worshiped our deities and then they unselfishly share their knowledge with others, giving us solid recommendations for further study. Although there are many different types of leaders, we see our leaders as those whom are considered leaders by their peers and fulfill the leadership role of service to our community.

This is a link to a good recommended reading list that has a section on leadership (Third section down). Although Wicca isn't my particular neo-pagan path, there are some very good books listed. I especially liked "Covencraft" by Amber K

I know I haven't answered your question, but I think that only you can answer it. I only hoped to give you food for thought.
Many Blessings!

My friend I read many, many of your questions and many, many, many of your automatic answers that you declare to be very enlightening. I do suggest you form your own religious group, get a web site and ask for donations. As a side line you can sell the soap opera stuff you dream up and post that I see few of those who do answer your questions are not aware of. I am afraid if they did really check out your questions and answers they would clearly see the reason for your point level, the great intelligence level behind your questions, and the deep facts that do drive you to do what you do.

Yes by all means you start your own religion and I am sure you will get very rich ha ha ha. It would be a great business for you.

Now do have a great day and just keep posting all those great entries just to see the intelligence level of most who do answer. It seem that you have the ability to fool most of the people most of the time.

You can, remember not to scare people with lies and deceit.I believe everyone needs the truth and someone to answer their Questions with facts and good intentions.
Showing people what is going on in society, and how people were lured in acting the way they do,is a good concept.Psychology and the nature of the problem, why people go bad, is more effective ,than saying the evil forces of the Devil, made them act that way.Examples -mental illness,molestation....et.Many do not start out bad,IT'S THE NUTURE AND NATURE AFFECT.

Based on the very little info you gave us, I cannot judge if you would make a good religious leader. I suggest you consult people who have deeper religious knowledge in whatever religion you're in. I think he/she will help you a lot more than answerers here.

Go to college and major in religion and get a minor in philosophy. Most religious leaders are highly educated.

I think you can do whatever you set your mind to do. Just make sure you can handle the outcome. Along with helping people comes the haters who don't want to see you do your thing, or want the world in shambles. Basically, what I'm saying is be ready for the challenges that come along with the title.

Judging by your profile, yes.
If you're only 16 as you claim, then you have truly been blessed with a keen understanding of both human nature and the order of existence.
Please use your gifts well.
When you do, though, just remember where you came from, and don't let your prestige or status be you.

You can't choose to become a religious leader unless you intend to lie and cheat your way into it.

You must simply live, exist and learn and if you are the sort of person worth listening to, you will be.

Based on your point level, seems to me you just got way more free time than the average person! I looked at your Q&A but did not look at your web-page. I have to tell you I saw nothing inspireing, intriging, or profound.

Ghandi you are not! Rev Jim Jones possibly.

You could grow into being a good leader if you continue to grow and learn, educate yourself in the areas of religion, philosophy, etc.
