It depends on who you ask in the community. Many would maybe say yes, but then there are some that would say that it' just something made up to be funny, so depends on the person.

no longer that i'm responsive to, inspite of the undeniable fact that it truly is a robust term. i'm specific there are some gay persons who're irrationally petrified of quickly human beings - yet a number of the terror i've got ever encountered has been through direct own journey. gay bashing is each so often literal, and much from over - and each so often even the suspicion that somebody is gay might properly be sufficient.

Not that I am aware of, but it's a good term. I am sure there are some gay folk who Are irrationally afraid of straight people - but most of the fear I've ever encountered has been due to direct personal experience. Gay bashing is sometimes literal, and far from over - and sometimes even the suspicion that someone is gay can be enough.

good question. i'm sure there are some heterophobics in the gay community...just as there are some women who are male-phobic and some men who are female-phobic.
as a gay man, i try to be accepting of all people...although at times it can be difficult.
do i like homophobia or heterophobia?...of course not, but i have to respect the homophobic's/heterophobic's right to say what he or she feels, unless they advocate violence or physical harm upon another person or group.
it will take education, candid discussion, tolerance and acceptance for people to learn to appreciate and respect others as who they are
p.s. julia...please understand that all we ask is to be given the same rights and respect from our government as our straight brothers and sisters...peace, tigger

Well I would not be surprised what with all the hate that spews out of most haters mouths.
Jesus Christ comands us to love our fellow man and to love God. No where does it say to hate any people.
So it is just as wrong for Julia to be homophobic as it is for any of us to be heterophobic.
G0ys are all about the love but we will kick your butt if you call us a f@g.

No, and to julia, they probably said those things because you ask or say intolerant things towards them. No one here is slamming you and telling you that you're an abomination and going to hell for your sexuality. If you don't want rude responses, don't come in here and be a bigot.

I wonder about that too.
After all, a few times when I've posted messages that were critical of homosexuality or the homosexual political agenda, I've been accused of being a "closet lesbian" or a "lesbian in denial." Accused by gay people, of course.
And that's one of the nicer things that gays have said to me. This "tolerant" group of people has also called me every dirty name in the book, threatened to kill me, rape me, burn down my house, and one person hoped that I get hit by a bus.

not with me or any other gay/lesbian I know. I have no problem with straight people at all in general. it's those bigots that we have a problem with.
