Most americans don't uderstand freedom anymore. The Republicans have rolled back our 4th amendment rights to the point that they don't even resemble the constitution. Uneducated Americans let them do it and come back for more!

Also many Americans think that the soldiers fighting in Iraq have something to do with American Freedom. I don't think they get it at all. The real threat to freedom is the government rolling back out constitutional rights, not some pissed off Iraqi.

I'm thinking a lot of people think they are not free in our country anymore, I don't understand that.I think you should compare the US to countries that are not free, countries who are run by dictators.
Compare now to when people of color had to drink out of different water fountains in the 50's or when they were slaves. Or when women had no rights.
How can you get any more free than what we are now.

Freedom's just another word for having nothing left to lose

I think freedom is NOT free. It costs. As long as there is any ONE nut case out there who thinks he (or she) knows exactly how the rest of us should live and will kill any one who isn't willing to live that way, freedom will cost the lives of brave men and women who love it.
