i've heard a lot of crappy ones. the most recent one i can think of is "one way ticket to hell and back" by the Darkness. a one way ticket gets you there, NOT there and back.

but, i've heard a lot of non famous ones too. i work as a guitar teacher, and i have a studio in my house that i do recordings for ppl in. there was a piano player here the other day and i just started laughing at him. he was playing and singing "its 3 AM in the morning"..........

"whats so funny?" he asked...
"dude... theres no 3 AM at night..... AM means morning.... kinda redundant."
"oh yeah... i didnt think of that!"
lol.

the worst line in any song in the history of music is actually an entire song. Its by Lee Greenwood and its chorus goes something like "I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free... and I gladly stand up next to you..." Its the worst case of a cattle call for false brotherhood and patriotism I've ever heard. What makes it such a sad case is that so many people love it, they actually buy into it.

Incidentally, the song you mention is by Bon Jovi - hugely popular artist. But I agree with you, that song is probably one of the worst songs currently being played (and OVERplayed) on the air! I'm not a Bon Jovi fan by any means, that song solidifies the fact that I will NEVER be a Bon Jovi fan. Just an all-round stupid song.

Several:
anything from the Captain and Tennille, especially that damn muskrat love song.
Country music abounds in bad lines."Gonna hire me a wino to decorate our home" stands out, though.
