Why would you base a car on whether or not it had a flappy panel gear box?!? IF you want a new car go buy a Subaru they are the best!

Paddle-shift transmissions are options on the VW GTI, S-model Audi, M-model BMW and all Porsche products.
These transmissions are derived from Ferrari's F-1 racing transmission, and are variously branded as F-1, DSG (direct sequential gearbox), Tiptronic, SMG (sequential manual gearbox), etc. These are basically manual transmissions with hydraulically operated clutches with shift selection via the paddles so hands stay on the wheel for safety at high speed.
