My wife is 7 years younger then me and we have had some good conversations about the subject.

She told me she did the choosing and had been thinking about me for years before I even knew she existed.

Some men are set up and their are still a lot of shotgun weddings going on!

My first wife and her mother set me up I was 21 she was 16 they told me about it and made me think she was pregnant.

I had a Job new car and plenty of money and just moved in the neighbor hood and they saw me coming.

How young were you when you started thinkingabout older guys?

I'm not a woman, so I earned my 2 pts anyway for my 2 cents worth....

Depends on the circumstances.

Young woman fawning over older professor or teacher
Young woman obsessing over a boss

There many erotic fiction stories which describe such relationships.

Honestly, I have mainly always been attracted to men within a 10 year range of my age. The few women I know who go for older guys either want to stop working, or can't attract men their own age. I don't consider a 7 year age difference to be important, but 10 or more is. As for oldschooldude, I think you need to check your statistics. A woman who marries at a young age is much more likely to get a divorce than one who marries at an older age. I think young women who marry older men for "security" are going to be getting busy with the pool boy before too long. Sure, a young woman can fall in love with an older man, just like a younger man can fall in love with an older woman. Any relationship needs to be based on mutual love and respect, not the person's age.

I think it has more to do with maturity. I've always shown interest in older guys 2-3 years older than me, however it was just last year that i went up to 10 years. Im now 17 and i am seeing an older guy and i have older guy friends as well. And i have guys waiting til i turn 18, but whn i asked around about if it was a good idea to date older than 5 years, my response was usually a no. THe reason being we had nothing in common. even though that may be true, my current relationship is going great. We both have the same interest and are always teaching eachother new things every day. But like i said i think its a maturity thing.

I think its pretty obvious thats the way it's SUPPOSED to be.I'm 40 + and I date college chicks all the time (and I do NOT have much money !) If you look at the facts ...in cultures like the philippines or east africa, the AVERAGE age difference is 14 yrs,and the divorce rate is around 6%...Among asian women and american men at least 10 yrs older, since 1940, the divorce rate is 4.1%....When an american girl marries a ' hottie' her own age the divorce rate jumps to 66%...You just can't argue with the numbers !!

I think its all about maturity. In my early 20's I dated a man in his late 30's because all the men my age were thinking about nothing but beer and sex and well.... beer. I wanted to be with someone that I could have a good conversation with and a good time that didn't need a beer bottle or a 4x4 truck. The relationship didn't work out ( he's work transferred him to Europe) . I'll never regret that relationship.

Im 23 and think older men are so much more attractive. I have dated men in well into their 30s and the oldest was a 40yr old. They seem so much more mature, sometimes. And are great in bed. I could never see myself with someone my age. They just still have so much growing up to do. I like older guys because they seem to have their lives somewhat on track already.

most want the security and maturity of older men when looking for a long time relationship. generally i think they would prefer the more educated sexuality of an older man who is more in tune to the needs of the woman

I prefer guys I like, without the age being an issue, I am sorry they screwed you over, but at least you get on now and I guess that is the most important of all.
