Many people refuse to accept that corruption exists at all levels in football today.
That's why when a scandal mbreaks everyone gets all shell-shocked.
Everyone has a price.
The whole tournament Ronaldinho never went near the ball, unlike when he turns out for Barcelona, where he'll go looking for it to create something or other.
Here he simply played a withdrawn role, very withdrawn.
I knew France at nearly 4-1 were too good a bet to discard. I was pleased with their win.

I don't think it was fixed. The thought is ery ridiculous. The truth is the Brazil was so hyped they were in an easy group and damn they had coaches fom the preious generation. How can Ronaldinho perfom when Brazil was supposed to play around Ronaldo! (insane) Can U compare Rijkarrd as a manager to Carlos Perreira or Mario Zagalo. The had old defenders, Cafu R. Carlos, to try and mark Henry,. Plain Bullocks. Ronaldo was clearly overweight, he fell on his fellow player against Japan. The truth is Brazil dug it's own grave, period. Is similar wt england playing a lone striker(Rooney) and being cagey until the rred card befoe opening up.

That's the beautiful thing about football, sometimes the greatest teams can be beaten by the worst teams(not saying that France is the worst) also the best teams can sometimes perform not so good!! i wouldn't resort to calling the match fixed, just sometimes teams don't play up to what they are capable of. also i think France is a better team than Brazil, they have only wont the past few world cups because it wasn't that challenging for them. Also, i think that Brazil is over-rated, of course they have some amazing players but i don't think that they are as good as everybody thinks they are.

There is only one little problem in your "observation": Brazil don't sell their games. Brazil selling their games during the World Cup? Quarterfinal? Impossible! For God's sake, they were 5 times world champions!
1. Ronaldo falls because he is not fit to play for 90 minutes.
2. He is not himself for the last 2 or 3 years.
3. Coach made a mistake. He's a human, he can make mistakes sometime.
4. Cafu actually had couple of pretty good crosses.
5. Roberto Carlos is a loser and he's coming to an end of his career.
6. Brazil played defense because France force them to do so.
7. Of course, they were never good in defense. Much better defenses than Brazil's can't mark Henry.
This was not a good year for Brazil, but hey, they can't win every championship. And they sucked in every game in this World Cup, against Croatia, against Australia, against Ghana (Ghana had like 15-20 misses, or so)... They can only blame themselves for poor performance, but they will be back. In the meantime, say "congratulations to Italy", 'cause they deserve it.

thats what it looks like cause brazil is cearly is a better team but i dont think they can fix matchs on a world cup level
anyway brazil probley wouldnt have agreed to that anyway there such a big football nation and this is a chance to get to the world cup finals where talking bout i would have loved to see a match where brazils offence went up against italys defence
it is possible that brazil wasnt that gud this year there are huge expectations on them they have to get to the finals just to be good and meanwhile people r praising ghana for just getting out of the group stages
muha
muhabuha

No. No matter what...no team would give up the chance for a World Cup victory. There are times that the team is not themselves. Nerves may have also played a role and there's just so much that can mess up a person's ability to focus. It could not be fixed. There would also be a leak. Something like this would be impossible to keep under wraps.

U r so dum!.Sorry 4 talking like dis but u deserve.U r misleading people. Its true with WWE.But its not with cricket. How can u decide the toss? huh If its like WWE(predecided) then y on earth did they ban lthe likes of late hansie crionje, azharudin, jadeja ....etc huh?If everything is fixed and if the ICC new then these players wouldnt have been banned. Its not planned. If it is planned they wudnt have banned those players for match fixing which destroyed their lives.(remember that when Hansies plane got crashed south africans were engaged in cricket so had he not been banned nothing wud have happened to him).Ya players might be trying to fix matches but remember that ICC never lets them to fix and ones who do are severly punished.U r insulting the game of cricket and the ICC.Remember cricket is GENTLEMENS game ok? not like stupid americans wwe thing which is light years behind from cricket. Other fact is we have seen numerous matches that hae been ended up by hitting a six in the final ball for yokers to win the match.U cant plan and hit sixes in the last ball of a match to a yoker with a speed of 9o miles per hour?can u? U ignorant guy let me tell u dis.WWE has reasons to pre plan.Coz if they dont plan whose gonna win and every other move thesee matches will last for hours and hours and wrestlers cud be killed by each other by extensive fighting.U neverr know wt happens if it goes on for hours. 1.But in cricket there is no need for planning.Even its planned or not, the time limit is the same for cricket(5days in tests and 50 overs in ODIs) 2.There is no risk in killings like wrestling Dont post stupid things like dis again.Ok?u r misleading people.

I agree that Brazil were not themselves this year, obviously. I mean, maybe part of the fixing was taking Ronaldo to an all you can eat buffet every night during the world cup, I mean, we noticed! Ronaldiniho wasn't himself all world cup, not just that game. And I went and watched him against The New York RED BULLS, and he played like his usual self. So he didn't burn out, cause you can;t lose it and get it back (his skill)
And Robinio didn't get the playing time he diserved all World Cup, I'd be pissed id I were him. He is so much better than Ronaldo,a nd as you said, played 10-20 miutes most games. And when he did play, (in group round) he was amazing.
Good Observations, never thought of that.

May be your opinion but I dont see why Ronaldo would want to fall on porpuse, I dont see why would Brazil want to lose for some money...Anyway, if France could beat Brazil in1998, I dont see why they couldnt beat them again, after all, history does repeat itself.

Money is never enough never I tell you.Now don't tell me that if u have 10 million dollars and someone offered you 2 or 3 more that you would say no thank you I have enough. Also not the hole team has to be payed maybe 5 or 6 were and the coach. Now a days it's all business in sports whether ppl like it or not.Players have forgotten how to play just because for love of the game.
