My god... what a horrid way to go through life. How can you possibly be happy that someone died? Just because a well-known actor died does NOT mean that there is now one more part for you. We are all cast because we closely match the character a director has in mind... No matter how many times Tom Cruise dies, it won't change the number of roles available to me, because Tom and I are not at all the same. Robin Williams could die tomorrow, and I would still be the same actor... I would still have the same opportunity... nothing would have changed... except that I would no longer have the option of working with Robin... or Tom... or any other famous actor who is not my type.

One, you aren't a little star. If you were a star, you would not be on here... (A film star anyways) and if you were you would tell us who you were.
My guess is you are a little wanna be "actress" with no training in any method whatsoever.... But I'm sure you had fun being the tree is your schools production of Wizard of Oz.

Two, you aren't moving up when they die. Again, in order to move up, you have to be someone.

Three, You should learn from these people. They've "made it" and you haven't. Embrace their life, and learn from it.

Four, I think you are an idiot.

Selfish? Not at all!
If four of us who are friends share a car to an audition, I don't want the other three to do well.
They will wish me luck and I will reciprocate but if there's only one part, it had better be mine.
I don't drive into a ditch and try to kill them and somehow survive myself but obviously I don't want them to succeed.
Maybe I should poison them all.
See if that improves my chances.
If it goes wrong I could run the prison theatre.

A selfish little star? Has everyone else missed that bit?

Made me laugh, anyway. If you're famous, then I hope you're someone gorgeous - and can you give me a little showbiz gossip sometime? Like - who would I never guess was gay, but really is etc. etc!!

I don't think you are being selfish, everybody dies eventually, life is over rated, when I go I want all of my family and friends to have a disco!

not at all..
i used to know a fella through work that died in the asian tsunami.
He was a total **nker in life, nasty man.Everyone thought this and said it of him.As soon as we found out he had died everyone started saying"what a shame, such a nice man".
Bollox !!! I stuck to my guns and carried on saying what I had said in the beginning.Everyone thought i was being really insensitive...i think i was being true to myself.Just because he died didnt change the fact he was a total toss pot !!!
U GO !!!!!

Neither, just thoughtless. Think before you say things the wrong way, especially if you are in that environment - it's called tactlessness and may come back to haunt you.

At least you question what you do, so you're on the right track!

Do you say this out loud or just to yourself?

And the truth of the matter is, not everyone waits until someone dies to get ahead.
