I recently colored my hair at home and did not do my eyebrows (I totally forgot). I get them done when I get my hair done at the salon but I forgot this time. Well I dyed my hair a dark brown (medium ash brown) color and my natural hair and eybrows are dark brown almost black. Should I worry? What do you suggest I do to make them a bit lighter?

Speaking from the male perspective and knowing what makes a woman look good (to the male anyway), I would not expect the eyebrow color to necessarily match the hair color. You girls like to color your hair in many attractive colors and I believe that as long as the eyebrows are nicely shaped (OMG...please don't shave your eyebrows and then pencil them in) and the color and shape of the eyebrows is compatible with your makeup and facial structure, that you'll look just great. Just don't go crazy with those brows, keep them simple and yet attractive but not distractive.

I went hunting for any links that might give some advice on eyebrows and what to do with them and found these:

Don't worry about it. Most people's eyebrows aren't the exact color of their hair. It's usually only the platinum blond women with brown eyebrows that make people stare, anyway.

I don't dye my hair and my eyebrows are still darker (I'm a natural blonde, but my eyebrows are a darker blonde). Just keeping them well-groomed is the best thing, in my opinion.

I wouldn't worry about it. My hair is its natural color and so are my eyebrows. My eyebrows are darker than the rest of my hair, but that would make sense because my hair has more sun exposure and has naturally lightened a bit. I think if you find someone who has both that match exactly, it's a guarantee that both are dyed.

I wouldn't worry too much. Your eyebrows will look fairly normal being a bit darker than your hair. If you are really worried, you can take a q-tip slightly dampened (not enough to drip) with hydrogen peroxide, make a quick swipe across each of your brows, then rinse with water. Just don't use very much, and be very careful not to get it in your eyes. If you are still unhappy with them, the best thing to do would be to see a cosmotologist. :-)

You can always purchase a eyebrow pencil
in the shade closer to your hair colour if you
want to balance the look. Check with a
cosmetician and she'll gladly assist you on
the color and look you' d like to acheive.

u could try to use a lighter eye pencil to color the skin under your brows but i would suggest going to the salon and having them done. good luck!

I THINK THEY ARE EXPECTED TO BE THE SAME COLOR, ON THE OTHER HAND IF IT DON'T LOOK THAT BAD THEN JUST FORGET IT, IF THEY LOOK HORRIBLE JUST DYE THEM THE COLOR IN YOUR HAIR.
