Not really, but the government needs to take care, because the Indian nations are becoming a very powerful voice in government due to the monies they are making with the Indian casino's. The Indian nations are taking care of their own and most do not need any help from anyone.

If the US cared about the horrid conditions that most First Nations peoples have to endure, they would grant the people the autonomy to change the gulags presently known as reservations into productive autonomous nations.

If the US cared about First Nations people, it would not only issue an apology for 500 years of continuing genocide and oppression, but it would also make substantial reparations.

But the US apparently doesn't care. Thus it continues to subvert native autonomy, to pervert justice to continue its pogrom of cultural genocide and assimilation, and to fight native people at every opportunity by whatever means it has available. However, the spirit of the First Nations peoples remains unbroken; the people remain strong. This Euro-American government that preaches democracy even as it enslaves and slaughters people around the world has failed to subdue the First Nations.
