and what general guidelines do the have to pass to be eligible?

there is no age requirement...if you wanted one im sure you can get one. I dont think they have to pass any tests to get one. Its a pretty simple procedure

Having three kids is the easy way to get a vasectomy. Otherwise, older than 26 at least I'd guess.

The testicles have to be descended. That usually happens around or before puberty. There are no eligibility guidelines but it is recommended that your spouse is involved in the decision.

Depends on what doctor you go to. I know a guy that is 25 and had his done, he had 2 kids. Wonder if it is easier for men's doctors to give the okay, than a womans doc. I wanted mine done a couple years ago(2 kids) and she refused.

My brother got one when he was single and only about 22. Just call your doctor and ask.
