my best friend and i have know each other since the first grade, we are now 24 years old. we are both in relationships, I'm engaged to be married July 22, 2007 and now he decides to tell me how he feels about me, I'm so confused and don't know what to do help.

Well this is always a difficult situation. I think in male female friendships, there is always some element of attraction, at least on one side because you think the other person is amazing and fantastic and thats why they're your best friend after all. Also sometimes one of you is in love and then the other. How do you feel about him? Is there a reason why nothing has happened between you before. Was he drunk when he said it. Also speaking from personal experience and that of my friends. When you sleep with your best mate you can never go back to being as good friends again.

You are engaged! You can't be thinking of what ur friend thinks after all this time. If you really wanted to be with you he would have told you a long time ago.. unless you are not sure you want to be married to the guy you are engaged too. Before you make any decisions, you better make sure that you know what u are doing.. cause if the guy you are engaged to is just right for you and you go and screw itup with your best friend then you know you can' t expect him to take you back. As for your friendship with this other guy, just remember once you cross the line from friendship to relationship there is no going back to to friendship. Things would never be the same.

It happens most of the time when it's not the right time... the question is... do you feel the same way.. if you get married you will think about him every day and wonder what would have happened if you don't try it if you feel the same way... when you and your future husband get into a fight you will blame him for your unhappiness and think about your friend... I'm not saying leave your fiance' but I am saying you need to take a break to find out....

That is totally unfair of him. Why did he wait until now? On the other hand, you have almost a year before you marry so you need to think about what you want carefully. Do you have romantic feelings for this man? If you do, it would not be fair to marry until you resolve everything. Go slow and be careful.

How do you feel about your friend? Obviously, you must care a little, or it wouldn't be an issue. Take a look at that, and remember, it's not too late to break off the wedding until you say, "I do."
