Unlikely that it will be more collectable than any other everyday car from that era. If it does, it is likely to be something with more of a cult following that does not make for high prices. Things that usually make for collector value are performance, unusual technical features, or exclusivity. Or even notoriety - AMC Pacers and Edsels are both worth a lot, and someday that may happen with the Pontiac Aztec for that matter. Unfortunately, the Olds Alero is a pretty generic car.

If folks had seen the crazy classic car market of today they would have kept all the muscle cars they ever owned.
On the opposite side of the question, it cost money to let a car or truck set in dry storage and keep it in running condition, you have to make a decision about your car and only time will give you the right answer.
I still have a 1968 Chevelle SS396 with 76K on the clock and I would have never guessed what the values are today, I have had this car and others since later 60's early 70's.

Any car can become a classic, just takes 25 years. So if you want to wait that long then do it but I would sugest hiding away somthing like a new RX8 for 25 years befor an olds alero.

Sure thing! In about 35 years though.
Already at 25,000 miles? Not all that low, and the car will deteriorate over time even just sitting - not a wise investment choice.
Drive it, enjoy it, or sell it and invest the money in Microsoft stock - a much better idea.

I have an Alero, too. I like it just fine but I don't foresee it becoming a classic. There's nothing that special about it.

I doubt it. The Oldsmobile line in general doesn't have much of a track record of becoming sought after "classics."
