the sun was formed when the universe was formed and huge amounts of gas were flung across the galaxy....as the sun grew and got heavier it's gravity increased until it was sucking up all the nearby gas...stars go thru many periods while forming and when gravity and mass gets too much it collaspses in on itself and creates explosions which sends most of the gas and particles it absorbed back out, the earth and nearby planets also absorbed mass and gased which increased its gravity and spin and the spin eventually smoothed out the rough spots making the earth spherical...the moon is specualted to have been the remains of another planet which mostly occupies the asteroid belt now and it would have been between us and mars....it was captured when it came too close to the earth but was moving slowly enough to be brought into orbit instead of crashing onto us...although it has also been specualted that maybe it did crash into us....

Time started either before or at the Big Bang. No one's really sure which. It may depend what universe you're talking about.
The Earth condensed out of gas during the formation of the Solar System; the relatively heavy elements it is composed of were created by supernovas over 5000000000 (five billion) years ago.
The Moon was formed shortly after the Earth. The Earth was slightly smaller then, but it was impacted by another object about the size of Mars, and the ejected material collected in orbit around it and formed the Moon.

Some say God created it...other say theory of revlotion, and big bang.
My opnion is that God created by saying "let there be light". This is in line with Theory of BigBang - a huge explosion. Explosion usually has so form of light energy.
So God created the universe and man call it BigBang or reolution.....eg..(or watever name man can come up with)
