I'm due to start my period on the 4th. Is it too early to take a home pregnancy test today? I always use First Response and it says that it can detect up to 5 days before a missed period. I'm getting really anxious. Has anybody ever taken First Response 5 days before a missed period and have it come out positive. Thanks!

You can try, but it is a bit early. You're best bet will be to try first thing in the morning so your HCG levels will be high. You can try to avoid drinking anything after 5pm the night before to further increase the concentration. It might work, but you're probably going to have a wait a few more days.
Good luck!

At least wait till the 1st or 2nd. At different times my 3 sisters were trying to conceive, and got multiple positives 4 - 5 days before a missed period. They went and announced it to all the family and friends only to have a period 2-3 days after the missed period date. Our family really doesn't trust the 5 Day First Response. I know it gave my wife and I a couple of incorrect positive response's. Just wait I say, that way if you don't get a false hope which can lead to alot of heart ache. On the plus side of my story all 3 of my sisters gave birth last summer. I now have 2 nieces and a nephew all 1 year old.

That is a little early. You could go get blood drawn but even a doctor will tell you that a blood test cant show a positive any sooner than a urine test. You really should wait at least 1 week AFTER your missed period. I mean really how can it tell you 5 days BEFORE your MISSED period considering the fact that you wont even know you missed your period until its come and gone LOL. People will do anything to make a buck.

Wait until Thursday, then try.

I used the First Response test last night, got a postive result and I am not due for my period until Thursday, August 31.

Good Luck!

It is really too early to check if your are really anxious have blood drawn but i would recommend for you to wait until the five days before or more is possible. Also do it with your first urine of the morning it will be more concentrated. Good luck.

Fact Plus is more sensitive at 25 mlU and I took a dollar store brand (NEW CHOICE) that was 25 mlU sensitivity and it actually turned positive 6 days before more period was to start (VERY VERY FAINT FAINT POSITIVE)

Click on the link below that gives you the comparison of most pregnancy testing that is on the market.

Just take it if it doesnt come back possitive and you think you are then wait for your period and if its late then get another once, but your chances of a better reading would be in the morning when you wake up when the hormones are higher in your urine. Good Luck,

properly each and every physique's physique is distinctive and places out a distinctive point of HCG horomone. I took 3 early being pregnant try whilst i became 5 weeks pregnant with my twins and it became detrimental each and every time. If twins made extra HCG than it is going to have been constructive using fact it became after i became using start as quickly as I took it. Your toddler might desire to easily be generating so lots extra being pregnant hormone somewhat early.

It never worked for me. You can always go to a doctor and get blood drawn. It would show positive (if you are pregnant) there this early. Good luck!!

I used first response and mine came out positive! I am 13 weeks! Yet remember IF YOUR hcg level is not high enough it might not come back positive.
