Disneyland is a great place to work! I know several people who worked their way through college by working there. And they are looking for people who have an attitude like yours because it is the Magic Kingdom. And why would anyone think it is silly or immature to follow your dream? As Jiminy Cricket said, when your heart is in your dream, then no wish is too extreme.

No, it's not immature exactly. It's the happiest place on Earth.

I've always said I want to the pyrotechnic engineer at Disneyland. KAAA BOOOM!

Anyway getting just ANY job at Disney probably shouldn't be a lifetime goal........think about the engineering and designing of the rides....mechanical. If it was possible and I were you, maybe working there and going to college and majoring in something at college that you could use there. I don't imagine the people who dress up like Mickey and Goofy, make sure you are strapped in, prepare food, etc make that good of a living. I know you don't think you need much now but cost of living in those areas is HUGE. You'll eventually have a family and want more out of life. That is why I suggested looking into majoring in something that could land you a really good job there.

Everyone who likes D-Land and wants to work there (like me and my husband did) will end up hating D-land by the time you quit/get fired. They treat you poorly, give you little to no hours, ignore your scheduling needs (like if you're in school) and it's almost impossible to get promoted. They actually save a lot of money by only hiring temp workers. My husband worked there almost 10 years as a chef and for the last half of his time there, every day they were looking for any tiny reason to get him suspended/fired. They would only give him 38 hours a week so he wouldn't be considered "full-time". But he's a smart guy and joined a union so they couldn't mess with him too much. He finally quit and now he can't even stand the thought of going back to D-land because of the bad memories. Anyway, if you want to keep loving D-land, just go there and have fun and leave it at that.

Immature? Not at all! I'm 23 and would want to work there if I lived close enough. Think of all the great discounts you'll get! Do it and have fun! When you're older you'll be able to say "Yeah, when I was 16 I worked at Disneyland. It was cool because of ___ and ___." When I was 16 I worked at IHOP. It was not cool. Do this for all of the former 16-year-old IHOP workers in world!

First of all it doesn't matter what anyone thinks,
Second, you seem 2 have an aspiring reason 4 working there, so y would it make u immature,
There's nothing silly or immature about spreading "the magic"
Have fun @ ur new job!!

What? Are you goofy or something? Did someone call you Mr. Incredible? Did someone slip you a Mickey? Maybe your mind's on Pluto, but what you're saying is just Daffy. It's like your mind's been on a runaway mine train or that you're cold from climbing the matterhorn. If you work at Disneyland, you'd just be another fish in sea of Marlon's and Dory's. Are you you willing to face the beast? Are you willing to go to work despite feeling grumpy, sleepy, sneezy, dopey, bashful, and without a Doc's note? Even if you're not happy?

Well, if you're willing to do all that, then hop in our pumpkin carriage and welcome aboard!!!

After all, it's a small world after all!

Of course not! You are so correct with everything you said. It really is about serving others. If you keep a servant's attitude and work for Disneyland to help others and bring joy to people it can't be immature.

Why? There is nothing wrong with that. Its not even immature, its good that you wanna give back to children and families. I love goin there, everyone is always in a great mood. I've been there so many times..and I love it, every single time that I go. Dont worry...go ahead...work there and dont let anything stop you.

I always wanted to work at Disneyland, but lived over an hour away, so I never did... it's a great place to work, although they have strict rules, but who cares, you will have fun while you are working!
