I will travel from Mexico City to San Diego, and I have been told that flying to Tijuana is the best idea, and after cross the border by walking. What do you think?

San Diego is a big city. Once you walk across the border, where are you going and how are you going to get there? Why not just fly into the SD airport? It would be a lot easier.

I went by car from San Diego to Tijuana. I think the distance was 12 miles .We crossed in our car and there was just a short wait. Many people are walking across. It looked easy .

Between San Diego and Tijuana is a 30 min. drive. No need to fly anywhere.

Downtown to downtown is about 17 miles but the city limits of both meet at the US/Mexico border so you step directly from TJ to SD when you cross the border.

that is exactly what my brother did 2 years ago - just be sure if someone is going to pick you up they know which boader crossing you are using.
