I don't act like only white people are racist, so I guess that answers that.

Agreed. I see waaaaay more racist behavior and comments from the non white races, on this site especially. I read a post the other day where a Mexican girl said that all white girls are strippers. Last week I read a post from a Brazilian woman that proclaimed that white girls are all fat, nagging bitches, and so white men should date more non white women. Where was the racism outcry?? No one cared! If the situation was reversed, and a white girl was saying those things about other races, she would be crucified! I’m really sickened by the double standard. I’m happy to be white, I love my race, and I don’t give a flying f*ck if I am labeled as a racist because of that. I feel no guilt for any past indiscretions of my ancestors; I feel no pity for anyone who had ancestors that were slaves. I bear the burden of MY OWN thoughts and actions, and no one else's. All I care about is how people treat one another TODAY, and I feel that a lot of us white folk get the short end of the stick.

I don't think white = racist.
I think a racist = a racist.
White people are not the only racist people out there, yes you are right.
But with groups like the KKK, Aryan Nation, Skin heads, and such, many "other" races are reminded that racism does exist.
You heard of the horrid stories of torture in Jewish concentration camps.
You heard stories of Colored people being burned alived, and held captive in slavery for 400 years, tortured while their family was made to watch.
You heard how the native indians, that were massacred at the great "thanksgiving" dinner, there was no "peace" dinner.
But a slaughter massacre. Which is why there are only a few native indian left today. Many live locked away as acoholics on reservations. Tell me, how are you the first one to colonized a place, and your almost as extinct as the dinosaur?
With the year being 2006 and a black man is still being dragged from being a car and decapitated, you are reminded that racism still exist.
With the year being 2006, and Mexicans can work in a kitchen as a cook, but if tries to gain right in this country, he's discriminated against you are reminded.
With the year being 2006, and you're born an American but look like an Arab, you're discriminating against, you're reminded.
Surely bigot is as bigot does.
But its so easy to just look at one small "perfect" part of a picture, until you take a big step back and see that FULL picture.
And trust, its not a picture that many of us want to see.
I like you, wish it wasn't so.

definately racism in every race i myself am black mexican and white so i can't point my finger at too many but i will say it seems to me like the media and tv and things of the sort allow blacks to make fun and joke about other races quite often all you have to do is watch comic view the one thing that seperates the blacks from the white s being outspoken as racists is that white people tend not to go to that area and the ones who do go to the extreme while the others don t want to come off as a KKK member it s a burden the white man must bare since slavery ...

Amen. That is so true. It's just the same s how white people are discriminated against just like everyother culture. How come on t.v shows that have a theme of racism that week the racist is always white and the victim is always black? Why can't thte racist be chinese? or mexican?

The fact of the matter is, every race has its own racial hangups...
Some of them grew up with the idea that their race is superior
Some of them grew up with the idea that another particular race is inferior
Honestly, I think a lot of it stems from the fact that before our fast-paced, globe-hopping civilization, there was less care of race, and more care of the tribe, village or nation you belonged to. When you left 'your people' - you were among strangers - some were curious, some were kind, some were hateful, but there was also the opportunity to go back home, to the people and the culture that you understand.
Now travel is easier, and there's a dispersion of different cultures, 'tribes', if you will, living together. At first, this was a HUGE issue, particularly when a tribe 'got above itself' - black people being freed in the U.S., native americans wanting their land back, etc., etc., It's actually gotten a lot better over the years, but there are always a few 'hold-outs'. Of course there are some cultures that refuse any change, and continue teaching that other cultures are bad. This is out of a desire to pass on their culture, so that it doesn't die with their generation.
But even without race, we humans have a way of dividing people up -
from
nobility vs peasant
to
popular kids vs not popular kids
healthy people vs people with AIDS
rich people vs poor people

I have to say that it seems to me that you took offense to what I asked and I for the life of me can't understand why??
My question was a general question and not really labeling any one race as racist. It seems you took it to a whole other level and took what you wanted from it and made it something else entirely.
I am so glad to know that you are not racist.....because I have no idea where you are going with this, hence you last statement: "Other races need to face up to the fact they are often just as racist as any other bigot."

I agree with you and the sad thing is that racism breeds more racism. For example, a friend of mine, whom I have known my entire life and can vouch that he never had any prejudices towards any race, moved down to LA for four years. While in LA he encountered blacks, hispanics and jews who were racist towards him. Now, he has a huge chip on his shoulder and is untrusting of those groups of people who shunned him.
The thing people need to realize is that every human being is different and cannot be classified based on their skin color, religion or ethnic background. While there are people who discriminate upon racial lines from every race, not everyone does and stereotypes do not apply to everyone.

all races can be racist. because of history people think only whites are racist, but that is not true.
other races are not considered to be racist because that would mean we are racist saying they are. but they are, too.
i wonder when will be the day when we all stop being racist. i hope for being able to survive all the hatred and pain of this life especially now. my hope is in God and not so much in people, anymore.

It's not PC to think that other races could be racists. So lets just keep putting down the white man cause we are scared someone will kick our azzes or sue us.

Great question. It's almost like these people who are constantly crying "racism" almost WANT white people to be racist so they (non-white people) have a reason to ***** and complain.
