Shouldn't it be none of the US government's business of who I marry?!! Doesn't religion influences TOO many of our laws. If a woman, wants to marry more than one husband, shouldn't that be ok too?...

Because the old-fashioned laws were based on the religious values of those making the laws. I think that as long as you can support them financially, and everyone in the relationship is consensual, you should be able to marry whomever, and howevermany you choose. There are actually a lot of benifits to polygomy. Unfortunately I don't make the laws. They really should be updated though - I don't think the government (of any country) should dictate anyone's personal relationships.

Many lose track of the fact it is to be a sacred union.
If that is all the value you put on something so sacred maybe you deserve each other.
It is not the government! Get over your antiauthority issues bud!
It is society which agrees on acceptable ethic and the gov is the vehicle by which tradtion and customs are expressed.
Why don't you try loving someone with all your heart, all your Love and leave your selfish desires behind?

Divore laws would be even more hellish than they are now. On a more practical point. The women will outnumber you. If they are smart in times of conflict they will back each other up so they get what they want. It's just common sense. A united front is going to win.

I agree, it should be none of the governments business. There are many plural relationships that are just as loving and stable ad all the monogomous relationships, and reading the questions on YA! it is easy to see how well monogomy has worked.

It would cause far too many legal problems. At least according to the government.

If that were the way it was only the hottest and most successful of the male population would have multiple wives.
The other mediocre, poorer losers like you would have No one! So honeslty think about it....would you really want it to be this way?? I doubt it.

Well, you don't have to conform to the law. You don't even have to register your first marriage if you want to because it's not necessary unless you want to capitalise on the status. Otherwise, you really DON'T HAVE to be afraid of anything and marry more than one wife.
