why debating ethically and intellectually honesty seems to matter so little to so many people. How some can live with such behavior is beyond me.

I just had to lament.

Maybe one of you can understand it.

Honesty pays in long run which is why people do not want to wait that long. This world is moving fast and faster than yesterday. The Big Money is the password of all transaction.People do not want to debate on anything in which money is not involved. This money orientation has given the birth to your so called behavior and it will continue in future too.

Many people, and often times including myself, think that debating intellectually about certain subjects is a entertain way to meet people, actually it works, but not with most people, so is just matter to realize that everybody is different and to know what kind of people you should behave in certain way and in a different way with another, and of course, only if you are willing to socialize with that kind of people

people see it as a "waste" of time, because to them, it doesn't accomplish anything. if an individual were given a choice to either go make money or sit around and debate on various topics, of course the individual is going to go make money. our world is highly concerned with making money and material goods. not very many people are concerned about these things, and it is very unfortunate. =(

I wouldn't take it too personally. People can and will be jack***es. Just accept it as a general rule of life - like most others, it sucks but it's true.

To each his own. It is better to direct your drive for improvement inward rather than outward. You cannot change people or the world, only how you deal with it.
