i think you'll be better off asking the Guatemalan Embassy.

i spent lots of time in guate. and had friends bring cars in by boat they could use us plates for some time then renue the auto requirements over and over or register in the country the tax was very high. i drove in several trips for up to ninety days. No tax on us plates sold a car or two cost me maybe one hundred dollars buyer pays taxes.

i do no longer understand the right quantity, yet its plenty. the concern is, Guatemala does not elect human beings bringing automobiles into the country, they elect human beings to purchase the automobiles the sell over there.
