You had a good heart when you wrote this question but unfortunately, people today are biased greatly to either side. They either hate him or love him.
The ones that hate him will believe just about anything bad they hear about him.
The ones that love him say that he's the leader and we should support him... even if they never supported Clinton.
There's hypocrisy on both sides. Both sides suck.
Frankly, listing good things depends on your opinion of those things. The majority of things I could list deal with gay marriage, illegal immigration, and the such. Which he did what just about any Republican would do about those. So if you're against gay marriage, illegal immigration, etc... then he's done some good.
Best chance here is to look online independantly for lists of good and bad and make decisions then

The man tries to be as honest and sincere as he can be. he dont shovel BS like many of the other politicans. And while I am a democrate, I am a conservative and agree with many things Bush would like to do, but dont agree with all he has done.
I think the people that hate him have an axe to grind and usually looking at getting something for nothing.
Those that work hard and pay taxes, should like him cause unlike many before him, hasnt increased taxes and increased welfare.
As far as his religous background, I trust him over Gore or Kerry anytime and never did Like Bill and Hillary. Give me JFK anytime.

He was very appealing when compared to the opposition, that's about all I can come up with. Al Gore: whiney loser who grew up in Washington DC. John Kerry: out of touch with reallity and married for money. Hopefully both sides can come up with someone better next time, but it's doubtful on the democratic side, as far out in left field as that party has headed lately.

I personally like his communication skills, seriously! He does not come off as a holier than than thou creetin Like say kerry does.
He can laugh at his own mistakes. I've met people who have worked with the Bushes in the white house, They are apparently some very nice, warm and generally caring and fun people to be around.

I had more respect for the man when he was majority owner of the Texas Rangers. At least Dubya could smoke cocaine and drink all the booze he wanted to without having his finger on the nuclear trigger.
Once W became governor of Texas, my respect for him waned especially when he executed Karla Tucker.

The most appealing thing to me about Bush right now is that I know he can't be re-elected.

Not a whole lot. He signs too many bills that cost too much and doesn't veto enough. He should have thrown some of those budgets back into Congress and tell them to cut spending, starting with the pork. It's obscene.

To answer your question - disregarding your paragraphs written below it...
What is appealing about George W. Bush?
He makes me laugh. Every time he gives a speach he reminds me of a monkey trying to speak english for the first time.
Thanks Bush! For putting a smile on my face!
