I learned to read in the first grade from "Fun With Dick and Jane". Whatever happened to Sally , Spot , Tim, and Mother and Father? Who remembers the Uncle Wiggly stories? Did your teacher seat you in a semi-circle and call you Bluebirds?

We had a book called "Tip", that had Jack, Janet, Penny, Mother and Father.

Didn't read the Uncle Wiggly stories, but played the board game.

Teacher didn't have names like "Bluebird"...we were Reading Group A, B, or C.

As far as Sally, Spot, Tim, Mother and Father....last I heard Mother drinks a lot and hangs out at the Country Club, Father goes out of town a lot with his Secretary, Candy, .... Sally joined the Army under the pretense of don't ask, don't tell....and Tim has been running Father's company and still trying to cover his gambling debts. Spot has gone on to the great "dog bone" in the sky...however left the following legacy:
1. 213 offspring
2. 48 mail carriers bitten
3. Chewed up $15,000 worth of shoes
4. Killed 6 rose bushes
5. Caused 16 near car crashes

Now...none of that may be true.....but hey.....
