Concern. Now that might sound funny to you. But, as we all know when we care about something or someone, then that becomes 'concern'! It's like a child, when you see problems arising, do you not take action? Or do you turn your head? It's not the 'bugs', of weekly points not updating, or 'show me another' not working, or not even the Level under our Avartars displayed. It's the fact that, and this is the FACT! In Answers anxious rise to fame, they neglect the little things. They want people to read over their "Customer Guidelines" and "Terms of Services", but they DO NOT live by their own rules. So how can you expect a diverse world that we live in, to abide by them? Instead of promoting 'Celebs', they need to get rid of the weeds! I like many others, am tired of: 2 points, do you like my Avatar?, and the best ever! I DUNNO KNOW! If we knew, we wouldn't be here asking!! So...the the bottom line is....And I have said this before, many times!....."IF YOU DON'T KILL THE ROOT!...THE WEED WILL CONTINUE TO GROW!"Just ask Lew, he'll tell ya!!!!
Guess that's all I have to say. Good luck in your 'Quest'

Well, there are a lot of problems with this site! Too many to even mention here. The main one I would say is that the Customer 'Care' team don't seem to care at all. As some of you will already know a couple of polite, friendly users have been suspended for no apparent reason, none of them got any joy from Customer (don't really) Care. I do agree that Customer Care should be re-allocated to the YAT instead, how about a user-based suspension system, but one that can only be voted for by the level 6 or 7 users? Sorry, I'm going on again!
Yes, anyway, I would say YA should get a better level of customer care, where they would actually benefit the users of this site, after all, without the users, this site would be nothing!

I do not have a solution to my complaint, however, I wish there were a way to have more people see more questions that need response in some manner...
I have noticed that because of categories, that some people stay in a category and wont move throughout the Answers forum...
Therefore, some questions never get seen by a vast majority of people...
If a question is placed in the wrong category, some people will never see it, that may have an answer...
When members are shown as a featured question, notice how many responses that question gets...
I have just recently had over 200 questions on my watch list that no one ever broke the tie to and I had to copy and paste them to send to friends to vote on to get them resolved...
I didn't give out info on which was my answer, I wanted them resolved because they were 3, 4, 5, and 6 months old with no resolve...
No one sees the question once it has been up for 5 minutes because it is then shut out by newer questions...
There is no way to see everything and some answers win by 2 votes, which means 2 people out of thousands on this site even saw it to vote on it..
That is ridiculous to me...

I'm sure yahoo answers team are still experiencing teething problems, and like our first child, you never know how it is going to be, or know how to deal with the situation until facing it, and we all know only too well that sometimes we take on too much for what we can handle ;)
As for the users of yahoo answers....the majority of us are here to share or learn, but like anything there will be those who want to throw a spanner in the works.
If we, the majority actually stopped responding to the minority they'd fade out.
It could be done that if a question had NO responses or 'and with the thumbs down' (have to be a set amount to create an automatic delete) it would automatically get deleted rather than be archived in discovery.
So, we users, the majority are helping this global site to maintain itself, helping yahoo answers by simply refusing to answer the petty, repeated, and plain sick questions....and those ones get deleted but could also have 'many' points deleted for the question deletion which is really stating a fact that there was a problem with the question, to the user who wrote it, to begin with

Well I would venture to say that no matter what you cannot change the nature of the beast....meaning human nature is human nature and most of the time that includes being a depraved lustful thing after one thing or another. We can make lots of rules and such but that wont change that. In the end the rules harm the good guys. The violater gets in no trouble and the good guy gets suspended. More rules would just take away from this site not add to it. Not everyone is an intellectual or a Christian and we just have to face that. This site was designed for morons who dont know how to get rid of zits too (and dont know how to look up the millions of other times that question was asked). So in order to have the freedom to enjoy it lets not bog it down any more than it is!

Yes, I agree with those above that the root of so many of the other problems lies in the failures and inabilities of Customer Care to handle the problems present here. I find that there is no communication between CC and the YA Team. Far from coming in here anymore to answer questions, the YAT are kept busy coming up with new bells and whistles to pimp out Answers rather than fixing what's wrong first.
So====> Let's blend CC and YAT and repopulate both groups with people who are problem solvers, not just IDEA DREAMERS.

I think that the most urgent problem at present is the obnoxious questions from perverted users which remain on the site until the overloaded CC has time to deal with them.
The solution I think, is for trusted and anonymous moderators to be appointed who would have the ability to hide these type, and only these type of questions from general view immediately.

I agree with Sweet Dreams and Broken both. It would be nice if you could actually win something, however small the gift might be and It would be nice to not see some of the same questions over and over again, like "How does my Avatar Work" or "What is the most responses you've had to a question", etc.

I have had a real problem with getting photos from my 360 to this page and my avatar is very unrepresentative...I believe we should be able to download images in and apart from just the 360.
Also, it seems like it takes and ''act of congress'' to get someone really suspended when it's totally valid.

the good ol days had the YAT interact here in answers..they monitored the categories and same time answered users questions in yahoo products..and back then, there was no CC dept..they were the CC dept!!
so..YAT participation in answers would be a very good moral booster for us. who needs customer care?
