It wasn't their year in 1999. All I can say is "NO GOAL!"

Lindros is nothing he wont even play the full season, if you think your team did a great pick up well I'm sorry you didn't its a waste of money and you could get better from other players. the Stars are getting to old and no real big change. they will not win the Stanley Cup, but if Turco starts playing in the playoffs the way he does in the regular season you never know. Marty Turco has been great for the past few years but when it comes to playoffs hes a chock artist, he needs to improve on his game to be more successful.
the Stars are worst of a team then they were last year and previous years. you are the one that said Lindros is a big pick up for the Stars which is a terrible pick up. it has nothing to do with his age like others here said but he gets hurt allot and you can get someone equal or do the same with much lesser money. if the Stars kick *** the first 2 months and then Lindros gets hurt then it could easily change the teams game because they will need to change lines and find new chemistry which is harder to find in the middle of a season.

I hate to say it, but I think concussion boy (E. Lindros) will not help the stars out as much as he will suck the life force out of his line. Check out his effect in Ney York and in Toronto to see what I mean. I do think the rest of the team will do reasonably well, but they mostly needed more firepower, and while I'm sure quite a few people think they got it, other teams dealt for better players.

I think the Ducks will be the surprise team in the west, but Calgary and Detroit will also be powerhouses. St. Louis will probably be most improved, but still kinda low-rent.

I think the Stars have the same problem that the Avs and Redwings do. Redwings have some good young players but they aren't quite "there" yet. Avs, well, as an Avs fan I don't see much happening for them this year. Stars too. Rebuilding years next couple of years. The Ducks have a really good chance because of their mix of young, upcoming stars and the good established stars they have. Sorry, but I don't think its the Stars year. Its going to be someone who hasn't been there before.

I don't think the Stars will make it past the 1st round of playoffs. Lindros is a henderence now. He can't play like he use to because he has to worry about concussions and he is not a great player when he has to play conservative.

You're nuts. The Stars have no identity and don't scare anyone like they did under Hitch. Turco also has been a complete playoff flop. Without playoff netminding that team goes now here irregardless of how many meaningless regular season points it gets.

I project they'll finish 3rd in the Pacific. Losing Guerin and Arnott is going to hurt, and I'm not sure that their off season mover are going to be good enough. Replacing Guerin with Stephan (consumate underachiever) and Arnott with Barnaby aint gonna cut the mustard.

Personally I think the stars are a good team and all but I don't think they'll win the cup, sorry even with lindros, jokinen, modano etc. (Lindros probably won't even be that good he's so old, sorry)

No. Lindros will be a drag on the team.

i doubt it. the goalie is the most important part of a playoff run and i don't think marty turco is a cup winner goalie.
