The meaning of 'your' life is whatever you want it to be. We're all entitled to our own idea of what life is about. There is no universal understanding of what is the meaning of life. You need to look at you, your life and where you want to go in life to determine the meaning of your life. Its more or less an inner journey discovering certain things about yourself and your life. Good luck in determining the meaning of your life.

(I wrote this a bit ago, but it still applies- Keep in mind this is the meaning of ALL life. Finding meaning IN your life is another subject entirely.)
The meaning of Life
Well this has come up in conversation a few times recently, and not all of my own volution. I keep hearing about kids wanting to kill themselves, so maybe this will help those of you who are feeling a bit lost.
The point of Life
There are many things all life has in common, but generally they can all be linked back to one specific thing that life does constantly, and consistently. Life creates order from chaos.
When you breathe, when you reproduce, when you think.
When you do anything at all, you take the nether of chaos and turn it into a structured, ordered thing through the process of creation.
The Meaning of Life
The meaning of life is to experience that which we create.
Lifes role explained
The Big Bang cosmological model of the universe contains a gravitational singularity at the start of time (t=0). At the "Big Bang Singularity," the model predicts that the density of the universe and the curvature of space-time are paradoxically infinite.
A singularity has a finite mass but an infinitely small volume and infinitely large density. wikipedia 2006
If the start of time is a moment of singularity than we can say that the start of this worlds existence is a moment where all things are together. At this start they are so dense and small that everything we know to be true breaks apart. In this moment, literally anything could happen. In fact, at this moment it could be said all things are happening. If a moment is infinite than it is a moment that contains everything that has happened, ever will happen, and is happening now- as time is relative to distance.
The big bang is the moment after a singularity; it is when singularity is broken up from order and structure into chaos.
From that chaos life begins to make order until it completes its task.
The task of creating order from chaos. To understand why we do this we must look at what order truly is.
Order in the dictionary has many meanings, but almost all of them can be summed up in the following way. The act of bringing things together, the act of unifying thoughts, or physical devices.
Once the task of converting chaos to order is complete all things will have come together. If everything were to come back together it would become one. If everything were one it would be singular- completing the cycle. From order to chaos and back into order. Repeated indefinitely, infinitely. This is our destination, and at some point we will reach it no matter what. We are guaranteed this.

So anyway, take it for what it is. It won't solve all of life's little nuances but at least you can rest easy knowing that you are already doing exactly what it is you are supposed to be doing.

The Meaning of Life
Why are we here? What's life all about?
Is God really real, or is there some doubt?
Well, tonight, we're going to sort it all out,
For, tonight, it's 'The Meaning of Life'.
What's the point of all this hoax?
Is it the chicken and the egg time? Are we just yolks?
Or, perhaps, we're just one of God's little jokes.
Well, ça c'est le 'Meaning of Life'.
Is life just a game where we make up the rules
While we're searching for something to say,
Or are we just simply spiralling coils
Of self-replicating DNA. Nay, nay, nay, nay, nay, nay.
In this 'life', what is our fate?
Is there Heaven and Hell? Do we reincarnate?
Is mankind evolving, or is it too late?
Well, tonight, here's 'The Meaning of Life'.
For millions, this 'life' is a sad vale of tears,
Sitting 'round with rien nothing to say
While the scientists say we're just simply spiralling coils
Of self-replicating DNA. Nay, nay, nay, nay, nay, nay.
So, just why-- why are we here,
And just what-- what-- what-- what do we fear?
Well, ce soir, for a change, it will all be made clear,
For this is 'The Meaning of Life'. C'est le sens de la vie.
This is 'The Meaning of Life'.

To BE is the meaning of Life.
a subset of that : To Live in the Moment and Be One with the Universe.
When you can do that everything else falls into place, happiness, peace etc... become secondary to BEING.
NOW is the POWER to BE
so....BE NOW
The BE is What - the NOW is when and ahhhhh the How?
"If we are able to be fully present and take each step in the Now; if we are able to feel the reality of such things as the inner-body, surrender, forgiveness, and the Unmanifested, we will be opening ourselves to the transforming experience of The Power of Now"
Not just a load of crap - don't poo poo - yep, its true.

To know, love, and serve God in this world......
HA! Just kidding!
Hmm, I think that our purpose is to become god, not the "God" we all know and laugh with from the Bible mind you. Since we've already created the idea of god I believe it is only natural that we should become it. Much farther down the line, perhaps 200 years, maybe 1000 years, or a million years, we will all shed our human shells and live together in a giant machine entity where we will be able to share information instantaneously. No more race, gender, or age. Everyone will know everything and everyone will be one. This machine entity will be the closest we ever come to manifesting a physical god in this universe.
Hooray.

Life is not just the few years we live on Earth, we are still alive after we die, but those around us will miss our presence (in the physical sense, not the emotional sense)
Some don't believe that he/she will live after their life here on Earth and such a question is pointless to them since they think they will be in the same state as they were in their mother's womb's, *BLANK*, however, I don't agree with those people
The fact is we build our life on history, and therefore, we build it as a chain where one events lead to the other (ex: I can't cross the street without passing a certain entity - be it ground or space) and therefore, our mind works on a series of cause and effect (the law of causality)
Since we do so, we look back into our lives, realize we started off somewhere in time and then ask what is the point of us living (or starting)? what is the point of us dying (or ending)? Such questions stem from our preception of time and the believe that time will continue whether we are in it or not and such a realization stems from our state of powerlessness, we don't know anything about creation and we realize (at least, some of us) that all those concepts of "built-in", "creation", "questioning", "1", "power", "concept", "greatness" were built into us in the first place
I believe this life on Earth is a Test, however, just like the case where I can't explain to you was red looks like (you have to see it by yourself), I can't convince you with my point because you need to first experience what the Ultimate Truth is by yourself

Experimentation
There is nothing else in life but trying things up, that's what life is about, but of course, since we are not alone in our experimental life, we must be conscious about our matters don't disturb others.
Life is not to be happy, but is not to be sad either, is to be both and to experiment both feelings, is not to be helping, but for times to times being selfish, why not? try as much as you can before time is over.
I think that might be life's meaning

On the first day God created the dog. God said, "Sit all day by the door of
your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. I will give you a life span of twenty years."
The dog said, "That's too long to be barking. Give me ten years and I'll
give you back the other ten." So God agreed.
On the second day God created the monkey. God said, "Entertain people, do monkey tricks, make them laugh. I'll give you a twenty-year life span."
The monkey said, "How boring. Monkey tricks for twenty years? I don't think so. Dog gave you back ten, so that's what I'll do too, okay?" And God agreed.
On the third day God created the cow. God said, "You must go to the field
with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer. I will give you a life span of sixty years." The cow said, "That's kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. Let me have twenty and I'll give back the other forty." And God agreed
again.
On the fourth day God created man. God said, "Eat, sleep, play, marry and
enjoy your life. I'll give you twenty years." Man said, "What? Only twenty years?! Tell you what, I'll take my twenty, and the forty the cow gave back and the ten the monkey gave back and the ten the dog gave back...that makes eighty, okay?"
"Okay," said God, "You've got a deal."
So that is why the first twenty years we eat, sleep, play, and enjoy
ourselves; for the next forty years we slave in the sun to support our family; for the next ten years we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren; and for the last ten years we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone.
Life has now been explained to you
