home warranty wants $300.00 deductable to send someone out for termites/bugs. would it be cheaper not to have it in the contract?

There are far too many variables to give you an estimated cost based on the information you have provided. Best advice is to have each of the companies give you a free estimate.

I would call them and ask. I called Orkin once and they wanted $90 for the first home visit and like $30 per month after that if I agreed to a year contract. I didn't end up doing it.

I knew someone who signed a contract with Home Paramount and was charged $95 per visit multiplied by 4 visits per year.

Just find someone local and pay a la carte.
