California tends to be a big convention City, and hotels seem to always run high
try to come in Late October or November
Airport hotels are less expensive than the hotels in the heart of the downtown area,
One thing about SF, there is excellent public transportation
You can also stay in the East bay and take a 15 min ride under the bay to visit San Francisco (lots of people do exactly that)

Each time a individual feels of San Francisco feels at a huge Global Orange-coloured link, a park spanning significantly more than 1,000 acres or even a city wherever contemporary artwork and tradition and if you are thinking about that city then this is the place to begin hotelbye . One of many points for everything you should visit San Francisco is PIER 39. From incredible opinions and a sea of sea lions to chowder bread containers and California wines, your trip to San Francisco starts at PIER 39. This place is the absolute most visited location in San Francisco. It gives two quantities of eating, leisure, shopping and attractions, all surrounded by irresistible views of the city and the bay. Found along the historical San Francisco waterfront, PIER 39's place supplies the image ideal foundation for postcard views of the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges, Alcatraz, Angel Island and the popular town skyline.

There is no cheap time. San Fran is a very expensive place to visit. But it's worth the trip. So plan on spending a lot of $ on food and lodging. If you have the time...go to Napa Valley...it's worth the extra time to visit. One of my favorite places to stay was at the Sheraton at Fisherman's Wharf. The Hyatt at Union Square is also a nice place. Both are close to the cable cars. I now live in Florida...but use to live in Northern Calif.

See if you can get away right after New Year's. A lot of hotels and airlines are really slow after the Christmas week rush.
