Her husband didn't serve in the military and he did fine. Military service is not a requirement to be president. If it was then it would severely reduce the number of women qualified to be president. It just so happens that most of our presidents in recent years have had some military background. Some even spent entire careers in the military before switching to a political career. Two examples are Eisenhower and Powell.
Being president takes intelligence and leadership ability. Those are traits that can be developed in business and politics as well as the military.
I've tried to give you a serious answer. I hope your question was serious and not another in a long line of Hillary bashing questions, from various posters. If it is then I'm sorry I wasted my time.

Most Presidents of the United States had served in the military. President G W Bush did, as well as G H W Bush, Reagan, Kennedy, even Jimmy Carter was an Annapolis grad and served in the Navy.
We have had 43 Presidents, and more than half of them served. Among those who didn't was of course Bill Clinton (draft dodger), who used ROTC money to pay for his college but got out of serving in part through his claim (no doubt accurate) that he "loathed" the military.
Few 'First Families' individually abused the military more than the Clintons. If you are interested in that or doubt it, read up on it.
But the short answer to your question is that Hillary of course didn't not serve (she spent her days spitting on soldiers and calling them "baby killers") and there is not requirement for service to run for or hold the office of President.

There is no requirement that someone serve in the military to be president. Nor for being Secretary of Defense for that matter.
And we've seen first hand how just being a member of the national guard means absolutely nothing as far as having any concept of military strategy, logistics, or what military decisions are prudent. A corporal can serve in the miltary. That doesn't make him qualified to lead an army.

One does not have to have served in the military to run for president. Here is a list of candidates and presidents who did not serve, or if they did, what their service record states.
An aside to Erudite: Just an FYI, according to this site, Lincoln did serve.

What does that have to do with anything? You do not have to have been in the military to run for president. Did you not study Civics or Social Sciences in school.
