Poland,
Poland is located in central Europe and has been known as a cultural bridge linking the East and West, a melting pot where Polish, Jewish, Russian, German, and many more cultures co-existed and as time went by, mixed. One can still see this diversity, mainly in architecture though, because the last century's disasters changed that structure, leaving Poland nearly without its minorities. Although almost everyone has some knowlegde about Poland, the country itself still stays a mistery for most of the turists. One short visit will not give a true picture of its natural beauty and diversity. From seaside in the north, through lowlands in the centre to Alpine scenery along the south border, Poland suprises with its landscape.

I think not enough people get Germany. If they go they go to Munich or Berlin, but the small towns are where it's at. It seems to when people backpack they some how tend to bypass it. I also think the Hungary doesn't get it's fair due. Everyone is all about Prague. Parts of Prague are very pretty but I had the best time in Budapest.

I'd say the Czech Republic. You can go to Prague which is a fairly big city but there are tons of things to do. I don't know your age range but there is definatly something for everyone. Whether you want to do night life or look at the historical aspects of it. It's wondeful...there is prague castel...the opera...everything. Also it is extremly cheap. It's 22 of their money to our dollar. So it's great on your budget as well. We stayed in a five star hotel for like 70 dollars a night. Fantastic place.

Switzerland. In my opinion, its the most beautiful place in Europe. And its got a number of cultured mixed together (German, French, and Italian). Plus the people are really cool. And its nice and peaceful, and very cultured. I highly recommend it.

I would have to say Croatia. Just got back.
Beautiful islands and beaches. Amazing history. Excellent fresh seafood. And depending on the towns youchoose, a thriving nightlife.
