The political ads on TV make me sick. It's so sad and pathetic to see that these politicians, these men and women, resort to something as low and stupid as elementary school name calling. The ads that come on here in South Florida are the worst. None of the candidates I have seen on the commercials talk about the issues we are facing here; they just like to throw labels, say some positive things about THEIR "party", and take quotes out of context.
My question is: Where are good, hard-working, and honest politicians at?
The world needs politicians who can do more than just take cheap shots at each other and beat around the bush about issues. We need politicians who can take action. Where are they!?! I think people have a higher chance of spotting Elvis than finding someone who can carry out his/her plans effectively. (That kind of incompetence is what motivates me to do something positive with my life. Yet, sometimes, I think I'm too damn idealistic) :(

Yeah, I sometimes wish I could lighten up and be like every other high school girl, but I'm glad I'm not. Plus, I can't be like them. It's just not in my nature. I dont' find obsessing over a celebrity as appealing as being concern about the world around me. :-)

Welcome to the world of politics! The campaign ads in Maryland don't really resort to name-calling, just a bunch of "look how great I am" and "I'm going to do this, this, and that because I know it's what you want to hear." It's really sickening.
I'm sure there are a few good, hard-working, honest politicians out there somewhere. My opinion, take it or leave it, is that a lot of people have high ideals when they get elected into a government position but, especially the case with high-ranking positions, they find they have a lot of power and people will do anything and everything to persuade them to use that power in their own personal interests. The politician decides he likes getting lavish gifts such as all expenses paid trips to Europe and decides to bow to the demands of the lobbyists, no matter how immoral and wrong they are, then tell his voters how much he cares about them and he's trying to help them. Give me a break!!! Do I look THAT stupid?

oh first i had to say i liked your response to my question and also, i HATE that i especially hate when they bring there ugly little brat that they excuse for a baby and act like they are all family oriented or some **** like that.
