I planted a row of lavenders next to the path, but they tend to lie all over the path. Where did I go wrong?

No idea, but I know how you can keep them off the path. Run a string between two stakes along the path a little more than 1/2 way up the hight of the plants. thestringwon't be noticeable if there are lots of plants.

Lavender has a habit of laying down...especially after it blooms. The weight of the flowers pulls the whole stem over. I suggest staking the plants next year.
