Yes, I was. I was quiet, not very good looking, suffered from acne and wore glasses. Did not know how to fight back, so I was an easy target. It fell far short of actual physical bullying, it was teasing and name-calling and being excluded, which believe me can be just as nasty. I dreaded going into school every single day for 5 years.
Fortunately there were some excellent teachers and I did have a small group of close friends and I left with good GCSE's, went on to do A-Levels and a degree. It definately affected me for a long time and has left it's scars, even though it wasn't physical bullying and I was never physically hurt.

yes i was and till just a few years ago i couldnt walk past a group of children as i still felt like i was back at school one girl cut a chunck of my hair off with a night i left school when i was 15 because i couldnt hack it and never really told anyone why i was acting out .im 38 now and you can tell people in society that have been bully victims it can effect people for life ,stamp it out . children are horrible to each other , the parents of the bullies should be sent to jail they are obviously doing something to make there child like that either its seen and immitated in the home or enviroment or these kids that bully have issues that have a baring on there home life . Lesson is be nicer to your kids and think about there emmotional welfare and if you find your kid bullying stamp it out and shame them by making them confront the bullied childs parents and the child. if at all possible.

OH lord, YES !!!!! I grew up to hate kids in general because I was always teased. I hated the boys especially. I might have made a good teacher if I had gone by the strenghts God gave me but I hated everything there was that had to do with kids and school so the last thing on my young ming at the htime was being a teacher.
The funny thing about my life is the sense of humor that God must have when it comes to me. I have three childredn all of them BOYS!!!!!!!!LOL

Could you possibly imagine what it would be like to go a small hometown school in the 70s-80s South and be half-asian? I had travelled Europe before the age of 10, experienced new things and was the opposite of a fundelmental Christian. Then I found myself in a place where everyone knew each other from the beginning.

I got a lot of teasing because of my eccentricity. Not that I let it bother me. It wasn't so much for my looks as much as my mind and personality. I've discovered I'm a rare type of person, and I quit trying to fit in after elementary school. I've found that I can be annoying to people, too overly critical of them when around them or the things I come up with in my mind are too far out there for most people.

Yes, I think most of us were bullied by someone at school for our looks or for been different, the thing with bullies is they soon move on to their next victim and leave the life's of their past victims in tatters, bullies are a victim of there own hate.
