errr yeah in case you did not notice he cannot be re elected for another term , him and his croonies have achieved most of what they wanted, and it may be time even for the pendulm to swing again...
either way you do realise that no matter which party or leader is in power, the rich ruling elite still always rule.. democracy is a scam.... (not to be confused with living in a country where you can get kidnapped by your government and tortured)

Katrina was a cluster f*ck! Nagin was too quick to save his own as* to marshal public transportation to evacuate New Orleans' poorest residents, those without cars. The governor was busy blaming Bush and Nagin to coordinate the effort on a statewide level. President Bush had just gotten the latest issue of Highlights Magazine to be bothered with the approaching storm. Because he couldn't find the toaster in the tree!

I'm sure in the eyes of some he's also responsible for this:
The Gallup survey, due out in early September, will also show that a large percentage of the evacuees still in Texas don't have jobs (59 percent) and live in households with incomes of less than $500 a month (41 percent).
"People realize that Katrina was an extraordinary event. And because we are also a Gulf Coast state and could have been in the same position, there is a good deal of empathy for this group," says Don Baylor, policy analyst of the Center for Public Policy Priorities in Austin. "But Texas also does not have a lot of patience with able-bodied individuals who chose not to work."
At a job fair in Houston last week, for instance, Mayor Bill White encouraged unemployed evacuees to get to work, pointing out that there are 5,000 positions open in the city.
"We don't believe in dependency in Houston. We're a working city. It may not be the perfect job, but there are jobs available and people should take them," said Mr. White, who has been a strong advocate for the evacuees.

How America can claim to be the most modern civilised country in the world, Mr Bush should be very ashamed of the way he and his government handled the terrible tragedy of Katrina. I wonder what the response would of been in Dallas, New York or Washington? if the victims were white middle American instead or poor Black and White people.

I missed what you are referring to in regard to your toleration of abuse, however, how can Bush take total responsibility for the Hurricane? Weather is an act of nature, I dont believe that any one person can take responsibility for it; that would be like saying that I am responsible for earthquakes, which is not accurate.
Now, if you are referring to how the aftermath of the disaster was handled by the government, then perhaps Bush could claim responsibility for the failures of the government.

Are you safe, well and have plenty to eat ? If yes, where do you live and what are you doing for the people who do not have these things as a result of Katrina.? Never mind politics this is a humanitarian question and insulting others feeds only more hate. Do not try to shame anybody - it is not your place.

I blame the Governor more than Bush. Bush is just doing what a top manager should do, take responsibility. The Fema director keeps saying he's being a scapegoat yet he didn't act when he new he should. He blamed his people and his bosses. Bush called the Governor but she didn't make any clear requests. L.A. just tried to cover up their mistakes by trying to make it look like they knew what they were doing. The people who suffered were the ones who needed help.

a bit too late for that now Bush. the man is a incompetent, warmongering, racist man and yet i say this is what america gets for having re-elected him for a second term, a few years ago. what were they thinking, i'd ask. first its iraq and innocent muslims and now hurricane katrina and the black community. the man is a blatant racist. yes his administration have condelezza rice, who is black- but what difference has she and bush of whom hired her, have made? none that's what!
