why should al quaida attack US soil when they can do much more damage everyday by taking out US troops. breaking down the will of americans eager to install a puppet gov of the US would pay much bigger dividends than knocking down a building here and there,,,,and if they did pull off another 911, it would only fuel americans to continue fighting in the middle east, making the terrorists job that much more difficult

I wish they would come blow up a Starbucks or something so all these back seat Generals would be shocked into waking up and realizing what is going on in the world. The Iraqi people have suffered greatly and still support what we are doing for them. They have lost more innocent friends and loved ones than most of us could ever imagine.

We must finish the job. This is why Saddam back in 1991 said America does not have the stomach for the war. This is how they fight, and we are developing new weapons to meet this kind of battle. And by the way, in my opinion, we are in WWIV.

Good point, but I think youre looking in the wrong direction. We, as Americans, are brought up knowing that we are safe here, and that if we want a war, we bring the battle to them, they dont bring it to us. Its a safety net that Americans have. If that safety is damaged we get lost in our own demise and we dont know what to do. I think we should always bring the battle to those we fight, it shows that we have the power and we decide when to fight, not the other way around.

My husband is in the military, so I know the risks of what Im saying.

The Iraqis are killing off mainly there own bretheren. I'm sure terrorists play a part but it is more sectarian. Sunis kill Shia infidels. Shia kill Sunis infidels. Both kill all other infidels in they way to kill other those infidels.
Only, when you walk a mile in there shoes will you understand the complexities of their beliefs and actions.
Nothing is black and white. It is always in living color and serving God is something we all seem to say.

That was my earlier point. The goal of terrorists is not to kill.

The goal of terrorist is to cause terror. To induce fear and distrust in a population, and to disrupt their way of life. Al-Qaeda has succeeded beyond their wildest dreams, thanks to our own govt.

Al-Qaeda hated our freedom, hated the fact that our govt was tolerant and open, hated that we had a prosperous economy and were paying off federal debt. In the past 5 years, our own govt has turned on the American people, treated us all like criminal, stripped our rights, abandoned our constitution, nearly doubled the federal debt (5 trillion to 9 trillion), and generally split America into two armed camps through partisan bickering.

Al-Qaeda has succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. And we let them.
