At one time in life I took to heart good advice, and followed their heart's desire for me instead of my own. Now will follow my own heart, because have learned to trust the person that I am, and my own good judgment. Doesn't mean I can't still make mistakes, but the majority of the poor choices are behind me, and have learned from them. Yes I Will follow my heart.

Yeah, I chose to still marry my fiance. There were things they were probably right about that they saw, and for some things it was a life or death struggle to get figured out - but they have been and most of me wouldn't change anything in hindsight.
It should be noted that the heart is notoriously "treacherous" and shouldn't be "trusted." And, "who can know it?" Do most people even really know what their heart really wants? You shouldn't lean upon just your own understanding... because people are flawed, and the heart can easily be motivated by things that won't matter down the road, like infatuation, or purely physical traits, and overlooking blatant flaws.

Yes - I met my wife when she was here on a student exchange program from Ecuador. I met her towards the end of her program and we had 3 months together before her visa expired. So after two months of dating i asked her to marry me. I thought i could either marry her or loose the one true love of my life. I was 20 years old at the time so of course all my friends thought i was crazy. We got engaged and we did a long distance relationship for 14 months while INS got our paperwork straight. Tomorrow is our 2 year wedding anniversary and our life is great. Sometimes following your heart does work out.....

I'd like to think so especially when everyone told me not to get married at 21 because they thought I was too young. However, I followed my heart and got married anyways and I have been ever since with 1 beautiful son and a bunch of warm memories w/laughter and love. LOVE U GEORGE & BRANDON!!

Yes, and I have been happly married for over 17 years. And have 2 wonderful teenage boys. But it has to do with how old you are and who it is trying to help or just being nosey? And what you are doing? If you have the Holy Spirit and you follow your heart you will never go wrong. Alway's pray Before you do........?

I always do, unfortunately. Once it led me to a blissful, fairytale summer of legendary romance, and once it got me kicked out of a prestigious university and humbled me completely. Most of the time, though, it leads me to minor glories and minor downfalls in even numbers, and I'm glad of each adventure, good or bad. I wouldn't have half as much to brag about or live down if I always followed my intellect.
