ANAL BLEACHING?!!! WTF? Why would anyone really care if someones anus is a couple of shades darker than the rest of their body? Most of the time( in normal circumstances) no one is looking that close at someone's anus. It is really disgusting that this is something that people will actually spend hundreds of dollars to get done. What is your opinion on this?

R u serious!??? I didn't know that! sounds disgusting! see, where the world has come to....there are war going on, people are dying, starving, and they are busy fixing their a**! Yeah, it's up to their own personal preference though, but Gosh! can't they think of any other healthier way to spend their money?

It's probably most popular with people in situations where their anal region gets lots of exposure, like, um... porn stars, or people who wear thongs on the beach?
Really, though, it's just another example of how society causes people to have irrational insecurities. Like you said, this is an area that most people will never see, yet someone is worrying about how they look back there.
It also might be a way for people in tough situations to feel they have control over something. Like, "I may not be able to keep my husband from beating me, but at least my anus is nice and white."
