Not at all.
I share a similar distaste for them as well.
My main reason for loathing labels and tags stems from the fact that the majority of these consumer goods were created in sweatshops where the rights of the worker was exploited, the material of the clothing itself is substandard (in the majority of cases), and the company who bought these items in bulk did little more than "sew their name" or "hang a tag" on the item in order to entice the consumer into thinking it's a quality product.
The majority of clothing today is a blatant rip off - despite the manufacturer and the "name" on the lapel.
Maybe you're just uncommonly sensitive to the deciet that is going on in the marketplace.
Don't let it get you down - focus more on the quality and thickness of the material, the stiching, and the overall "life" of the item you are considering purchasing.

And you have a fetish for shiny padded nylon - wow, you are a neurotic individual aren't you. Presumably the shiny padded nylon must be devoid of all clothing labels. I've just had a thought, you could combine the 2 neuroses and cure yourself of your fetish using aversion therapy...while you are getting your jollies from the nylon, quickly turn the garment over and have a good look at the label, you'll soon feel sick and if you do this enough times, your mind will associate the nylon with the nausea and you'll be cured!
Or perhaps you're having us all on!

You're phobia is bad enough, but asking people perched on the end of their computer, in different locations and possibly in different coutries whether or not you're alone is very disturbing.
Go take a look around your house, call out 'Hello' if you see no-one else and no-one answers you, then I'd say you're alone.

Not sure but you can call the Maury show and they maybe able to help you. He just had a show on today about phobias and there was a woman who was afraid of mustard, another who was afraid of pickles & peaches...
Sounds unusual to me but hey everyone has something they are afraid of...
Just a thought, are you more upset by the size on the tag? Just wondering.

Nope. I personally hate name brands and labels because kids at school will say "hey do you like that" or something. I'm like "hey, I don't know what you're talking about, it's just clothes".
I have a Green Bay Hooded swey shirt that I just wear to keep warm. Just as long as i'm not offending annyone, I'd wear any name brand/logo/label on my shirts.

Have someone cut off the labels or tags before they are handed over to you ... Go shopping with your friends or relative and if you like the shirt or pants have them buy it and when you go home have them cut it off before handing it over to you ... (Close your eyes when you try them on to see if it fits before someone cuts off the tag)
I buy clothes that has tagless labels ... They're ironed inside the back of your shirt ... Will that help ?? Most of the stores have them now like Old Navy, Target, etc ...

I think you might have obsessive compulsive disorder. You obsess over something small like a clothes tag and feel sick when it's on. Yep that sounds like OCD. You should make a doctor's appointment.

When I see a Nike sign, I see a slaves family in China, or India, or Bangladesh.
They are slaves masters. they make stuff a by slaves in others country then come sell the "glamour-****" over -priced here.
It make me sick....
The heal ? Equitable labor. They are paid like people would be paid here. available for tons of products such as almonds, coffee, sugar, exotic fruits, clthing, etc. etc.
Like adbuster anti-brand.
You must buy some things, just don't go to Wal-mart, find Equitable products, or buy local stuff, who don't promote ...ideas you don't like, like Nike or Adidas, or any Bling ****
