I think you may have already guessed the answer to this question! They are jealous! They need to GET OVER being upset by biracial couples! I was raised in the South, and I remember the way the Klan behaved towards some folks. The Klan hated everyone except WHITE FOLKS who went to the local Protestant church! In fact they did not just hate blacks, they hated Catholics, Jews and anybody who did not want to join them in their hatred! Believe this, racism is alive and well in America. It's a shame and it's a sin but it's still alive!
If you are happy, then try to ignore the ignorant people in this world! You have a right to the pursuit of happiness. At least your date is not in the bathroom trying to puke up her dinner after she eats...or simply sitting there picking at her food! I really don't like gals with eating disorders who go and pig out then when I go into the ladies room later (to wash my hands) I hear them in there trying to hurl! Why do they eat in the first place! If I must be around a gal with an eating disorder, the anorexics are a lot more tolerable, especially if they bring Nana their doggy bag... :-)
Good luck in the future...I don't think as long as racists pass their disease on to their children and on to their grandchildren that this kind of prejudice will ever be over, but it should be! We are all brothers and sisters just some with more color and some with more character too! Be HAPPY!

This is truly one of the greatest questions I've come across.
Where I come from we do not judge on the color or texture of the vinyl.
Maybe, you could relocate to another town.
