If its not your question, why ask it.

Just because someone assumes that the asker of a question is asking for himself it doesn't mean the answerer is sick.

Some people specifically say, "What should I do if.....". Many of the questions are written by the person who has the problem.

I guess if an asker asks a question that doesn't apply to his/her life he/she should just understand that answerers may quite naturally address the question as if it does apply to the asker, so the asker just has to accept the not-quite-correctly-addressed answer the way it is.

Many people who take the time to try to come up with a decent, thoughtful, answer don't intend to offend anybody or aren't even wondering if the question has anything to do with the asker's life. They see a question. They try to come up with an answer. Maybe they use the wrong pronouns or some other thing that seems to assume something that isn't right, but they mean well.

A good answer is still good whether or not it's wording seems to imply that the person with the problem wrote the question. You have to overlook some things in view of the fact that nobody knows whether the asker is the person with the problem or not.

Maybe it would be better if answerers were more careful not to assume anything and to write some one-size-fits-all answer. That can be tricky, though. Sometimes an answerer may not, in his head, assume that the problem is the asker's; but it can be easier to just write the answer as if it is.

Anyway, there's nothing sick about this particular thing.

I think it's a common conclusion, that a person would ask a question pertaining to themselves, However i don't think it's anything to get worked up over if it wasn't. If people are answering you back with lewd comments etc. They think there being funny etc. and you should just ignore them if you get all upset over it then they'll keep doing it.
