Anything which involves opinion...oh dear - please accept my apology, as the above statement may seem arrogant and without intellectual form. Mea maxima culpa.

In past years everone would have agreed and understood what constituted subversive and/or treasonable activity. The actions of the current government itself, would hitherto, have been regarded as subversive. Wanting to hand the country over to a foreign entity, known as the EU, would rank as deserving to be in the Premier Division of such activities. Not to mention unchecked immigration. Neither of these activities have the approval of the majority of British people.
It is ironic in the extreme, that the government themselves, guilty of this behaviour, would now regard anyone who conspired against their actions, to be guilty of subversive activity. I use the word 'conspired' in the context of "undemocratic".
I know that it seems like an oxymoron to accuse a government of subversive behaviour, until you realise that no democratically elected government is put in place to hand power over to a foreign entity, nor is any government allowed to bind a successor government. This simply means that they cannot do anything that isn't capable of being overturned by a future government.
I have not, and can not comment on the position in the USA. I don't think that the government cares about what goes into print or hits the screen. They only seem to be interested in attacking anyone who doesn't agree with their left wing PC style agenda. They are obsessed with promoting that hideous piece of EU legislation, known as the Human Rights Act. The very same piece of legislation that gives power to the courts to overturn the wishes of parliament. They are also obsessed with turning artificially manufactured minority groups against the majority population as a means of controlling them. Racism, sexism, disabilities, homophobia, anti family, state control of children, are just some of the key words that give a clue as to what they are all about.
This is how totalitarian states come about, whilst apathy reigns and the people are asleep, and the control freak left wing forces evidenced by the bias seen in the TV media, education, public sector etc. marches on.

Yes you're right the USA is subversive - but what can we do? We have to have something on TV. I think Happy Meals are subversive.
